    The final-day schedule Sunday, June 9, features the all-welcome Pride Parade that kicks off at 5 p.m. The parade will proceed along a route that includes most of Duval Street, showcasing a foot section of Key West’s famed mile-long sea-to-sea rainbow flag, created in by the late Gilbert Baker. Participants and spectators can conclude their Pride celebrations at La Te Da’s.


Key West Pride 2025 Key West Pride is switching things up this year by kicking off at the end of June, a departure happening for the first time in years. The same slate of performances, a parade, and pool parties, can be counted on by returning visitors and year-round islanders.

I'd seen Chris, a beautiful, thoughtful gay man, at the library countless times, always admiring him from afar, paralyzed by the fear that my feelings wouldn't be reciprocated, that as a member of the LGBT community, I was setting myself up for another painful rejection. After weeks of stolen glances and internal debates, I finally worked up the courage to strike up a conversation about our favorite books, a conversation that blossomed into a friendship, and eventually, a love that defied all my anxieties, proving that even in the quietest corners of the library, the loudest of hearts could find their match. Ryan and I both realised that our fears of rejection had kept us apart but finding each other proved how important it is to be true to yourself.

    On Sunday, June 29, starting at 7 pm, Key West Pride culminates with the “Still Rising Pride Parade.” The colorful lineup begins on Whitehead Street then travels down to Front Street, and goes right onto Duval. The festivities come to a crescendo with a fabulous over-the-top Tea Dance at Truman Waterfront Park on Southard Street.

  • The production is presented by the Key West Business Guild, which is currently in its 46th year of promoting LGBTQ travel to Key West, and benefits that organization. "Pride Follies" is co-hosted by Erin McKenna, the very first Miss Island Queen and local actress, and directed and co-hosted by local realtor and local actor Dominic Paoillo.
